Product Description

Hand-made from cowhide and leather, this rug presents a compact checkerboard of small, stitched squares on a multi-tonal background. Squares alternate between solid-hued hides and naturally spotted pieces in beige, brown, black, ivory, and tan, creating a balanced, geometric layout. The hair-on-hide surface has a low nap that is soft to the touch, while the visible stitching lines and subtle shifts in hair direction add tactile depth and a handcrafted character.

The neutral palette and orderly pattern suit a range of interiors: use it under a dining table to anchor warm wood furniture, layer it over hardwood in a living room to introduce pattern without bold color, or place it in an entryway or home office to add texture and visual interest. Its mix of natural markings and clean geometry works especially well in modern farmhouse, transitional, or industrial-inspired schemes where natural materials and structure are both important.
