Product Description

Hand-knotted from 100% wool, this rug presents a warm plum red field framed by a broad ivory and beige border detailed with geometric, stepped motifs and crisp black outlining. The central field is intentionally restrained, allowing the subtle tonal shifts of hand-spun wool to show through as a soft, slightly variegated surface. Running your hand across the pile reveals a dense, springy texture with the slight irregularities of hand-knotting that give the piece a tactile, grounded presence.

This rug works well as an anchor in a small seating area or beneath a narrow console in an entryway, and it layers nicely at the foot of a bed or along a hallway. Its palette and pattern suit a range of interiors—from warm, mid-century or transitional rooms with wood tones and leather, to eclectic or global-inspired spaces where the border pattern can complement patterned textiles and textured accents. Pair with neutral upholstery and brass or black metal details to bring out the border’s contrast, or add soft beiges and ivories to emphasize the rug’s lighter hues.
