Machine-made of 100% chenille, this rug has a soft, velvety hand and a low, dense profile that picks up light for a subtle sheen underfoot. A deep navy blue field sets the stage for a bold, emblematic centerpiece: a detailed shield with a ship and agricultural motifs, flanked by two rearing dark horses and topped with an eagle, all outlined with gold, cream, red, brown and touches of aqua and green. Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
Outdoor
Measure your patio or deck area and choose a rug that fits within the furniture grouping, leaving a few inches of clearance on all sides.
