This rug is softer and more nuanced than I’d have thought. It was nicely packaged and when I laid it out it worked very well with my decor. I’d tried two others - this one fit the bill. When you see it in person it’s clear that the jute has variation in color quality adding to the character. Highly recommended. Also, get the rug pad! When I put it down, laid the rug on top, and stepped on it, my immediate reaction was, “Oooooh, this is nice!” I’ve had other rug pads that weren’t as luxurious. Do yourself the favor.

There are some areas that seem like it's a little cheaply made when I got it like where the padding is coming out or where some lines in the rug are a different color white than the rest of the rug. Overall I'd still recommend this rug though it's generally what I expected from the stock images.

Upon arriving the rugs thread that binds the strips is much darker in person and the tassels are made of this a deep tan or very light khaki brownish color. It doesn’t show this very well in the photos. My existing rugs of the exact same design use matching white thread binding and tassels making for a lighter and brighter overall look. The rug is thick and excellent quality but because the threads and tassels don’t match my existing ones I will be returning.

It is being used under my dining room table so the defects aren't that noticeable and weren't worth the hassle of sending back. So I contacted customer service just to let them know about it. They responded immediately and made amends for the defects in the rug. Good customer service is rare these days so I really appreciated the responsiveness.

It’s soft (think soft like loom weave vs. fuzzy carpet) and since it’s hand knotted expect imperfections as it adds to the character. I have this in a low traffic area (my home office) and it looks beautiful. Be careful when vacuuming as the brush shouldn’t touch (maybe set to bare floor?) since it can pull at the material. Very happy with my purchase!

It is exactly what I was expecting it to look like in person. Looks great in the room! Like some others reviewers have mentioned there are some sections lifting already. The vacuum needed to be in a gentle setting.
