Product Description

A finely detailed central medallion anchors this hand-made silk rug, surrounded by an ornate scalloped cartouche and layers of floral arabesques. The background is a clear blue that allows the pattern to read crisply: red rose motifs circle the medallion, pink blossoms and olive foliage provide soft contrast, and brown outlines define the intricate vines and border roundels. The border carries repeating palmettes and floral roundels that frame the composition and give the piece a classic Persian sensibility.

Hand made of silk, the pile is low with a smooth, cool feel under the fingertips and a subtle satin sheen that catches light without overwhelming the room. The tight weave keeps motifs sharply defined and the fringe finishes both ends with a delicate touch. Place this rug in a small seating area, beneath a compact coffee table, at the foot of a bed, or in an entryway to introduce pattern and color on a modest scale. It pairs well with warm wood tones, brass accents, velvet upholstery, or neutral linens and can be used to ground a traditional living room or to add refined pattern to a transitional or eclectic interior.
