Product Description

A traditional Persian medallion design set against a clear blue field gives this hand-knotted wool rug a classic, balanced look. A deep red central medallion anchors layered floral motifs in gold, cream, navy and olive, while matching floral sprays and fine arabesques fill the field with symmetrical detail. A rust-red outer border with repeating blossom motifs and narrow guard borders frames the composition, creating a measured contrast between the cool blue center and the warmer reds and gold tones.

The hand-knotted wool pile feels soft and substantial underfoot, with a dense knot structure that holds the pattern crisply and offers a comfortable, tactile surface. This piece works well layered beneath a small seating group or coffee table to introduce pattern and color, placed in a foyer or entry to set a welcoming tone, or positioned at the foot of a bed to add warmth and visual interest. It pairs particularly well with traditional or transitional furnishings, and also brings a grounded, vintage touch when mixed with mid-century or coastal-inspired interiors.
