Product Description

Hand made of wool and silk, this rug presents a refined central medallion set within a scalloped, densely patterned field on a warm brown ground. Tiny floral and geometric motifs in black, olive, blue and red form a tightly woven background that gives visual depth, while a richer orange-red medallion and lighter ivory accents create a clear focal point. A bold black border with palmettes and vine work frames the composition, and olive and rust tones ripple through the corner spandrels for balanced contrast.

The wool pile offers a soft, resilient feel underfoot while silk highlights catch light to produce a gentle, polished sheen and a smooth surface texture. Its traditional layout and layered color palette suit classic and transitional interiors alike — layer it beneath a living room seating group to anchor the space, place it under a dining table for a formal dining room, or use it in a study or entry to add warmth and pattern. Pairs particularly well with warm wood floors, leather upholstery, neutral fabrics, and brass or aged-metal accents.
