Product Description

A classic Persian medallion layout in a cream field, this hand-knotted wool rug displays a central navy and red medallion surrounded by scrolling floral vines and delicate palmettes. Rich red spandrels anchor each corner while a series of narrow, ornate borders in navy, rust, soft gold and pale blue frame the piece, creating a balanced, symmetrical composition. The palette — cream background with deep red, navy, rust, gold and light-blue accents — reads warm and composed, with the detailed motifs providing visual depth without overwhelming a room.

The wool pile is hand-knotted and feels substantial yet soft underfoot, with tight knotting that gives the surface a smooth, low-profile texture and a subtle natural luster. Place it beneath a living room seating group to define the space and complement warm wood tones and neutral upholstery, or center it in a formal dining room to pair with antique or brass accents. It also works well in a transitional study or entry, where its traditional pattern can anchor contemporary furnishings and add layered interest to a pared-back palette.
