Product Description

Hand-knotted from 100% hand-spun wool, this rug presents a traditional tribal geometric pattern on an ivory field. A central column of linked octagonal medallions alternates in deep blue and warm red, each detailed with gold and green accents and outlined with touches of puce and turquoise; angular, hook-like arms extend into the ivory ground to create a rhythmic, graphic composition. The stepped border introduces additional bands of blue, gold and puce for a finished frame. The hand-spun wool gives the surface a softly textured, slightly nubby feel that is pleasantly firm underfoot and shows subtle tonal variation where the fibers catch the light.

The lively but balanced palette—ivory background with blue, gold, green, red and puce—makes this piece versatile for many settings. Place it in an entryway or layer it in front of a sofa to anchor a casual living room, use it bedside or in a reading nook for added warmth, or add it to a home office to bring pattern and color to the floor. It pairs well with warm woods and leather, neutral upholstery to let the pattern take center stage, or painted walls in soft blues and muted greens to amplify the rug’s cool tones.
