Product Description

Hand-knotted from 100% wool, this runner presents a light blue field finely patterned with a dense repeat of small teardrop/leaf motifs in brown and olive, punctuated by tiny ivory accents. The field is framed by an ivory main border of angular, geometric motifs worked in brown, navy blue and olive, with narrow navy and brown guard borders adding definition. The wool pile is low and tightly knotted, with a soft, slightly springy hand and a muted luster that brings out the layered colors when you glide your hand across it.

The restrained palette and classic border work well in traditional and transitional schemes as well as homes that mix vintage pieces with modern furnishings. Place it in a long hallway or narrow entry to introduce pattern and color without overwhelming the space, layer it along a gallery-style corridor under simple console tables, or run it beside a bed to warm hardwood floors and coordinate with navy upholstery or ivory trim. The understated design pairs nicely with warm woods, brass or antique metal accents, and neutral textiles.
