Product Description

A hand-made cowhide and leather patchwork rug with a bold checkerboard layout, finished in a multi background that brings together beige, black, burgundy and gray panels. Each square is stitched with a visible zigzag seam that gives the rug a tailored, crafted look. Surfaces vary across the piece—smooth leather, hair-on-hide, distressed cross-hatch patinas and a few raised, pebble-textured panels—so the rug reads as both graphic and tactile underfoot.

The leather and cowhide construction yields a firm yet supple feel with clear surface variation and a low-pile profile that layers easily over hard floors. Use this rug to anchor a small seating area, set in front of a writing desk, or place beneath an entry bench for an immediate style detail. It pairs especially well with warm woods, industrial metal accents, leather upholstery, and layered textiles in neutral or jewel tones for a lived-in, tailored look.
