Product Description

Hand made of cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges small square panels in a tight checkerboard that reads as a richly textured mosaic. The background color is multi, with a balanced mix of beige, black, brown, ivory, light brown and gray across both solid and naturally spotted hide patches. The hair-on-hide surface has a soft, tactile nap and a subtle sheen where the light catches the hair, while each stitched square shows natural variation in tone and marking for a handcrafted, organic feel.

This rug pairs well with warm wood furnishings, leather seating, and industrial or farmhouse accents, bringing layered texture to neutral and earth-toned schemes. Use it to anchor a seating area in a living room, define a home office, or add visual interest in an entry or dining space; it also works nicely layered over a larger sisal or jute rug to introduce pattern without overwhelming the room.
