Product Description

A traditional Persian medallion design woven by hand in wool and silk, this rug presents a layered, tightly worked pattern with a scalloped central field and a prominent rounded medallion at its heart. The background is olive, with the dense motif work shifting through brown, beige and cream while pink and light blue accents lift the overall palette. Tiny floral and geometric details create a fine, rhythmic surface that reads as richly patterned without heavy contrast, and a narrow floral border frames the composition.

The weave feels compact and smooth underhand: the wool pile offers a soft, warm cushion while silk highlights add a low, reflective sheen across the medallion and motifs. This rug works well as the anchor for a formal living area or dining room, pairing naturally with warm woods and leather; it also complements transitional interiors where classic patterning meets modern furnishings. Use it to ground a seating group, place it beneath a dining table to add depth, or set it in a study or library to enhance layered, collected decor.
