Product Description
Hand-knotted, 100% wool area rug in a traditional Persian medallion layout with a rich red field. An ivory-centered medallion sits at the center, surrounded by scrolling floral vines and arabesques rendered in navy blue, blue, olive and green, with soft peach and beige highlights that pick out the finer details. The wide navy blue border frames the composition with repeating palmettes and leaf motifs in ivory and olive. The dense wool pile feels soft and slightly plush underhand, with a low nap that gives the colors warm depth and a subtle tactile presence when you run your fingers across it.
This rug works well as an anchor for a formal living room seating group or beneath a large dining table to add pattern and warmth. Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
