Product Description

A classic Afghan-style field rug with a strong medallion layout, this hand-knotted 100% wool piece shows three octagonal gul motifs aligned down the center, each filled with geometric floral details and framed by multiple narrow guard borders. The background is a deep red, while the pattern is rendered in black for high-contrast definition; the fringed ends add a traditional finishing touch. The pile is dense and tightly knotted, offering a soft, slightly springy feel underfoot and a matte woolen surface that holds the color depth of the reds and blacks.

Because of its compact scale and rich palette, this rug works well in an entryway or small sitting area as a bold color anchor, or placed beside a bed to add warmth and texture to the floor. It pairs naturally with warm wood tones and leather, and also brings layered interest to neutral, minimalist interiors that benefit from a focused pop of color. Equally at home in a study, a cozy reading nook, or beneath a small accent table, it complements both traditional and eclectic decor schemes.
