Product Description

A hand-knotted wool runner with a rich red field, this piece centers on a repeating medallion motif that runs the length of the rug. Symmetrically arranged floral sprays, palmettes and scrolling vines in shades of sky blue, gold, ivory and olive are crisply outlined in dark navy and black, giving each motif clear definition against the warm red background. A narrow ivory guard and a wider cream-and-gold floral border frame the composition, creating a finished, layered look.

The wool pile feels dense and tightly knotted, offering a low-to-medium height that holds pattern detail while still providing a soft, tactile surface underfoot. Place this runner in a traditional entry hall or long corridor to anchor sightlines, use it alongside kitchen cabinetry to warm stone or wood floors, or layer it in a transitional living space to introduce color and pattern. It pairs particularly well with dark stained woods, warm metals like aged brass, and neutral upholstery for balanced contrast.
