Product Description
Hand-knotted from 100% wool, this runner presents a repeating medallion-and-vine layout on a warm rust red field. The densely knotted pile feels soft and substantial underfoot, with a low, natural sheen and subtle tonal variation that gives the surface a gently worn character. Intricate motifs are rendered in beige, brown and light brown, while navy blue accents and a navy outer border provide contrast and definition around the central pattern.
This runner works well in a narrow hallway, entry, kitchen galley or alongside a sofa where you want to introduce color and pattern without overwhelming the space. The rust and brown palette complements warm wood floors, leather seating and brass accents, while the navy details coordinate with deep blue upholstery or painted cabinetry. Its classic pattern and hand-crafted texture suit traditional, transitional and eclectic interiors that benefit from layered, tactile pieces.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
Outdoor
Measure your patio or deck area and choose a rug that fits within the furniture grouping, leaving a few inches of clearance on all sides.
- Vacuum regularly on a low suction setting to remove surface dirt.
- Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Deep clean by hand using a mixture of cool water and mild wool-safe soap.
- Have the rug professionally cleaned every 3-5 years.
- Rotate the rug every 6 months to ensure even wear and fading.
Consider the existing colors in your room, including walls, furniture, and decor. A rug can either complement or contrast with these elements.
Lighter colors make a room feel larger and more open, while darker colors add warmth and coziness.
If your room has a lot of patterns, choose a solid or subtly patterned rug. If your room is mostly solid colors, a patterned rug can add visual interest.
