Kashan
A traditional Persian medallion design in a rich red field, this hand-knotted 100% wool rug displays a central ivory and navy medallion surrounded by an allover spray of floral vines and palmettes. Deep navy and burgundy corner spandrels and a series of patterned guard borders create an architectural frame that highlights the finer accents of blue, green, orange, peach and yellow woven throughout. The contrast between the red background and the navy border gives the pattern clear definition while the smaller ivory and peach details add brightness and depth.
