Hand-knotted in Pakistan from 100% hand-spun wool, this piece from the Ziegler collection presents a traditional Persian design with a low, thin pile. The central field showcases a soft slate blue background decorated with scrolling palmettes, floral vines, and botanical motifs. Framing the interior is a wide ivory and cream border adorned with complementary floral elements, touched with subtle accents of tan, gold, terracotta red, and light blue. The hand-spun yarn imparts a gently varied abrash finish that adds visual depth to the surface.
