I thought it was safe for vinyl plank flooring when I bought it, but after I got it, I discovered the cotton backing on the rug had a bit of a sticky feel. I wanted to be sure it was safe, so I contacted both rugs.com and the importer, but neither could or would say for sure. Both said “umm yeah, but better get a rug pad”. So I got a rug pad, but I deducted a star in the overall rating
