Authentic and Gorgeous New Zealand Wool
I think this is my favorite rug! I am trying to find new places in the house where I can put even more of them because itis plush and soft but still such a natural feel. When I first unrolled it it had a tiny faint odor of sheep which went away immediately but I know that to be the trademark sign of authentic New Zealand wool.

I love the look and feel of this rug but after a year we have to get rid of it because it never stopped shedding, can’t be vacuumed, and our infant son keeps easily pulling the fibers out. Disappointed :(

Very disappointed!
Rug does not look anything like the website photos. The photos depict a lined pattern but is actually “puffballs” of wool and shedding is tracked throughout the house. Shedding is expected but daily vacuuming has been required for past two weeks. Each day rug sheds a heaping handful of fiber. Some type of bright white threads, which have the look of dental floss, appear throughout the rug and are difficult to remove without damaging the weave. The positive aspects are that it is very comfortable to walk on and, although very heavy, is easy to move on tile floor, no mat needed. Hoping the pile flattens out and shedding decreases. Not really a good value for the price.

Do not get if you have pets or kids
I really wanted to like this rug but after less than a week it's already rolled up in the closet. Our dog scratched at it and same with the cat I think they were attracted to the smell of wool. The fibers come out in short chunks that can't be tucked back into the rug and in just a couple days we had bare patches and a bag full of small pieces of wool. Even without pets or kids the fibers are too short and I don't think would hold up the rug would just go bare slower. Also it isn't something you can vacuum even if you used the hose attachment because it would pull up the short fibers. So disappointed since I was looking forward to a natural fiber rug but unfortunately I think it's money down the drain.

I received the rug and followed the directions. I unrolled and vacuumed the rug. The rug pulled apart. I found 2 “bald spots.” There are a few holes in the rug I found. I had to empty the vacuum in order to finish vacuuming. When walking on it I stepped on multiple sharp objects. I am currently in the process of a refund

Beautiful Rug
This rug is absolutely beautiful and looks fabulous in my living room, however, as other reviewers have mentioned, it sheds A LOT. I have not noticed any “bald” spots at all, but it does lose large clumps of the fibers at a time and that is with us barely walking on it. We do not have pets or kids that pull at the rug. That being said…I love my impossibly impractical rug and hope that when it comes time to clean it I will figure out a way to do that without causing any further loss of the fibers.

Rug needs Rogaine to keep its fibers
I’ve only had the rug for a few weeks and it’s losing its hair fast ! Nice looking but I feel like it’s going to be bald within 1/2 a year It also creates a mess of carpet fibers all over the hardwood floors. I’m going to sprinkle Rogaine on the carpet to help the cause. Expensive for how poorly made it is

High pile needs special vacuum
I liked the color and softness of this rug. However when I tried to vacuum it my cordless vacuum could not manage the high pile. I didnt want to buy a new vacuum cleaner so I returned the rug. Hopefully I will get a full refund.
