How to place an 8x10 rug in your living room
Front legs on
In a living room of about 10 by 13 feet or larger, an 8x10 sits in front of the sofa with the front legs of each seat on the rug. That ties the seating together while leaving plenty of floor showing around it.
A little smaller or larger
A 7x10 is slightly narrower and works for a compact room or a loveseat and chair layout. If you want every leg of every seat on the rug, step up to a 9x12.
Washable 8x10 rugs
A washable 8x10 can be cleaned at home rather than sent out. Each rug has its own care steps, so read the care notes on the product page before the first wash.
