The piece
Ghom Silk
Hand-made in Iran from silk, this rectangular piece from the Ghom Silk Collection showcases a traditional Persian pictorial hunting scene. The detailed composition depicts equestrian figures, wildlife, and floral motifs set against a contrasting black field, framed by ornate border bands in olive and golden tan. Subtle accents of pink, sky blue, cream, and beige bring depth to each figure, while knotted fringe trims both ends. The pure silk construction provides a smooth medium pile with natural luster and a refined texture underfoot.

The palette of browns, ivories, and black pairs naturally with mahogany furniture, warm neutral walls, and antique brass fixtures.
