The piece
Ghom Silk
Hand-knotted from pure silk in Iran, this rectangular area rug from the Ghom Silk Collection portrays a traditional Persian pictorial hunting scene. The cream and beige central field is filled with detailed figures on horseback, wildlife, and floral trees, framed by an ornate coral-pink and beige border with knotted fringe along the ends. Its medium silk pile provides a smooth, fine texture with a soft natural sheen that highlights the precision of each hand-crafted motif.
