Why we love Farmington

Farmington sits where the high desert opens up and three rivers, the San Juan, the Animas and the La Plata, come together. Cottonwoods line the water, sandstone bluffs glow orange at sunset, and the sky seems to go on forever. Drive out toward Navajo Dam and the green of the river and its quiet lake feels a world away from the badlands near Nageezi, yet both belong to the same wide landscape. Aztec, Bloomfield, Kirtland and Fruitland each add their own small-town warmth, and the region's deep Native weaving traditions and Southwestern spirit give the whole area a rich sense of color and craft.

That landscape follows you indoors. Homes here are made for big light, cool winter evenings and long gatherings, and a great rug is what turns a room into a place to settle in. Pattern and color can echo the mesas and river skies, while soft texture warms floors through the cold months.
