Ghashghai
A compact tribal rug with a deep black field punctuated by repeated boteh (paisley) motifs in red, blue and yellow. The pattern arranges the motifs in neat rows across the center, while a narrow blue guard and a warm yellow inner border with small rosette accents lead to a broader geometric outer band in black, blue and red. Hand-knotted in wool, the pile feels dense and slightly springy underfoot, with tightly defined knotting and short fringe at each end that emphasize the rug’s handcrafted character.
