Product Description

Hand made of cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges short rectangular panels into a tight basket-weave grid set on a deep black leather ground. The cowhide inserts present natural markings in brown, light brown, gray and ivory, with each piece showing unique speckles and veins that add visual variation across the surface. The bold black background unifies the pattern and provides strong contrast that highlights the lighter hides.

The surface combines the soft, slightly directional nap of hair-on-hide panels with the smooth, matte texture of leather seams, giving the rug both tactile interest and a defined structure underfoot. Pair it with warm-wood furniture and metal accents for a modern rustic living room, use it as a grounding layer in an industrial loft with concrete and steel finishes, or place it beneath a low-profile coffee table or at the foot of a bed for a layered, contemporary look.
