The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
A bold chevron pattern cuts across a deep black background in contrasting gray, forming a rhythmic, geometric layout with an inner braided motif that adds visual interest. Hand made of cowhide and leather, the surface offers a tactile contrast: soft, hair-on hide sections alternate with smoother leather strips, creating subtle variations in sheen and pile that you can feel beneath your fingertips. The patchwork construction gives each chevron a slightly sculpted look, so the rug reads modern with a handcrafted presence.

This piece works well in contemporary and industrial interiors where graphic patterns and textural contrast play key roles—try it beneath a low-profile sofa and coffee table in a monochrome living room or centered in a home office to define the workspace. It also pairs nicely with leather seating and matte metal finishes, and can add depth to a minimalist bedroom when layered over hardwood or a larger neutral floor covering.
