Hand-made from 100% wool, this rug presents a traditional all-over Persian garden pattern on a deep black field. Repeating floral and palmette motifs are worked in rich red with accents of blue and green, and a wide red border with scrolling vines frames the central design. The hand-knotting produces a dense, low pile with a firm, slightly springy hand; the wool has a natural luster and a warm, tactile surface that holds the intricate pattern clearly.
