The piece
Ghom Silk
Hand-made in Iran from fine silk, this Persian rug from the Ghom Silk Collection showcases elaborate traditional craftsmanship. A detailed circular central medallion anchors the design, surrounded by a dense field of intricate floral vines and finished with multi-layered ornate borders and delicate fringe ends. The rich bordeaux field provides a deep foundation for the finely rendered accents of olive, brown, purple, white, and soft blue. The silk fibers produce a medium pile with a soft texture and a gentle natural luster.
