Charlestown gathers three designs that share one mood: the gentle, lived-in charm of a rug that seems to have been part of the family for years. One is a classic bordered oriental, its branching vines and blossoms framed in scrolling bands. One is a soft-edged medallion, worn and misty, floating on a weathered field. The third is a bold diamond trellis, brushed and flecked as if softened by time.
Together they move easily from traditional to modern. The distressed, over-dyed look lets old-world pattern sit comfortably beside a farmhouse table, a relaxed coastal sofa or a bohemian mix of thrifted finds, while the bordered floral brings quiet polish to a formal dining room or study.
