Hand made from cowhide and leather, this rug is built from a tight honeycomb of hexagonal patches set on a chocolate brown background. The pattern balances geometric order with organic variation: individual tiles show hair-on-hide markings in chocolate brown, beige, black, brown, ivory, light brown and cream, creating a mottled, dimensional surface. Running your hand across it reveals the natural nap and slight sheen of the hides, while the stitched leather edges between patches give the piece low-profile structure and durable feel.
