Hand made of cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges narrow rectangular tiles into a tight, mosaic-like grid laid over a cream ground. Warm browns, cool grays, ivory and black weave through the composition while scattered gold accents pick up light for subtle highlights. The hair-on-hide surface has a low, tactile nap and stitched seams that give a gentle, hand-assembled texture you can feel underfoot.
