Product Description
The Peshawar Ziegler rug, measuring 7x10 feet, is a testament to traditional craftsmanship, hand-knotted from 100% hand-spun wool for a durable and comforting texture. The rug showcases a harmonious color palette of cream, light blue, puce, red, tan, and beige, with the cream background offering a serene base for the intricate pattern work. The design features a classic bordered layout, with each square hosting floral elements or ornamental motifs that speak to the age-old patterns found in historic textiles.
This Peshawar Ziegler rug's soft yet warm hues and sophisticated design make it versatile for various decor settings. It is well suited for spaces that aim to create a sense of heritage and refinement, such as a formal living room, a distinguished home office, or a dining room with antique furnishings. The fringe detail adds an additional element of traditional aesthetic charm, further anchoring the piece within a timeless design narrative.
The rug's medium pile and plush wool construction lend itself to areas that crave a touch of understated elegance without sacrificing comfort. It can seamlessly blend with both contemporary and classic interior themes, providing a subtle yet impactful centerpiece that coexists beautifully with a range of furniture styles, from solid-colored upholstered pieces to rich wooden accents.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
Outdoor
Measure your patio or deck area and choose a rug that fits within the furniture grouping, leaving a few inches of clearance on all sides.
- Vacuum regularly on a low suction setting to remove surface dirt.
- Spot clean stains immediately with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Deep clean by hand using a mixture of cool water and mild wool-safe soap.
- Have the rug professionally cleaned every 3-5 years.
- Rotate the rug every 6 months to ensure even wear and fading.
Consider the existing colors in your room, including walls, furniture, and decor. A rug can either complement or contrast with these elements.
Lighter colors make a room feel larger and more open, while darker colors add warmth and coziness.
If your room has a lot of patterns, choose a solid or subtly patterned rug. If your room is mostly solid colors, a patterned rug can add visual interest.
