Product Description

Handmade of wool, this rug presents a classic Persian layout with a tightly worked floral-medallion pattern. A dark blue field anchors a dense network of small-scale blossoms and vine motifs that form a large, subtly defined diamond medallion in the center, with an ivory-centered rosette that draws the eye. A broad, deep-red border punctuated by palmette and scrolling vine motifs frames the piece, while accents of ivory, gold, rust and olive pick out the finer details. The hand-knotted wool pile has a soft, slightly brushed surface that feels comfortable underfoot and reveals crisp pattern definition up close.

This rug works well as the main anchor in a large living room or formal dining room, where its scale and rich palette pair naturally with warm wood furniture, leather seating, and brass or bronze accents. It also complements traditional and transitional interiors, and can add pattern and depth when layered with cleaner-lined, contemporary furnishings. Place it beneath a seating group or dining table to define the space and introduce a warm, grounded foundation.
