Hand-made of wool, this traditional Persian medallion rug centers a scalloped rust-red field against a dark blue background, with intricate ivory and tan boteh motifs tightening into a finely detailed inner medallion. The surrounding guard bands and outer border carry repeating floral and vine motifs in deep brown and muted gold, while short fringe frames each end. The wool pile has a soft, natural feel underfoot and a low to medium profile; close inspection reveals tight knotting and a subtle nap that gives the pattern depth and clarity.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
Bedroom
Place a large rug under the bed so it extends 2-3 feet on each side, or use smaller rugs on either side of the bed.
