The piece
Sirjan
A bold, geometric medallion runner in deep dark blue and rich red, hand made of 100% wool. The design arranges linked, angular medallions down the center field, each grounded by a red ground and detailed with cream, olive, and orange accents that add depth and contrast against the dark blue background. Narrow guard borders carry repeating lozenges and small floral motifs, while the handmade construction gives the pile a dense, slightly springy feel and a matte, tactile surface with subtle variations that reward the touch.

This runner works well in a long entry, hallway, or along a kitchen aisle where its strong axis and color will guide the eye. It pairs naturally with warm woods and leather for a layered, traditional look, and provides a rich, grounding element in contemporary or transitional spaces—try it with neutral walls and brass or black metal accents to balance its warmth. The palette also complements terracotta, olive, and navy textiles, making it a versatile choice for both classic and eclectic interiors.
