A traditional Persian medallion layout anchors this hand-knotted wool rug, with a rich dark blue field that sets off a warm red central medallion and an ornate red main border. Intricate scrolling vines, palmettes and floral rosettes fill the field and the guard borders, while cream and gold highlights and touches of soft blue and tan add contrast and fine detail. The hand-knotted wool pile feels dense and substantial beneath your hand, offering a soft, slightly plush texture that keeps the pattern crisp and detailed.

Dining Room
Choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond each side of the table so chairs can slide in and out comfortably.
Entryway
A 3x5 or 4x6 rug works well for most entryways. Make sure it does not interfere with the door opening.
Living Room
For a seating area, choose a rug large enough so that at least the front legs of all furniture pieces sit on the rug. Common sizes are 8x10 or 9x12.
Kitchen
A runner rug works great in front of the sink or stove. For larger kitchens, a 4x6 or 5x8 can anchor the space.
