The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Hand made of cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug is built from narrow, horizontally arranged strips that form a clean, linear pattern. The gray background grounds a soft mix of ivory, silver and cream tones, while natural hair-on-hide markings and slight variations in finish give the surface quiet visual interest. The leather pieces have a low, tactile nap and a subtle satin sheen that creates gentle contrast between matte and reflective sections.

The neutral palette and linear layout work well in contemporary and transitional interiors. Use it under a low coffee table to anchor a living room, layer it over pale wood floors in a bedroom for added texture, or place it in an entry or office to introduce pattern without overwhelming the space. It pairs nicely with cool metal accents, light woods and linen upholstery for a calm, modern look.
