Hand-knotted of 100% wool, this rug presents an ivory field punctuated by a central, totem-like stripe of tightly packed, multicolored bands. Geometric motifs — small X marks, butterfly-like forms and angled border lines — are worked in black, blue, olive, red, yellow, pink and purple, giving the surface a lively, graphic feel. The wool pile is soft and tactile with a slightly textured, resilient finish that cushions underfoot and shows subtle variation from knot to knot.
