Hand-knotted in 100% wool, this rug shows a grounded light brown field punctuated by repeating round medallions and small foliate and bird motifs. The design balances a modest central pattern with a slightly more ornate border of scroll and emblem shapes in shades of blue, navy, violet, gray and deeper brown. Running your hand over the surface, you’ll notice the dense, tactile weave and a soft, warm woolen feel that gives the piece subtle texture without overpowering a room’s other finishes.
