The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Handmade from cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug assembles small rectangular and trapezoid pieces into a directional, arrow-like geometric pattern across a multi background. The palette mixes beige, ivory, light brown, brown, black and silver accents, with many panels showing natural speckling and tonal variation from the hides. Running seams and the hair-on-hide surface create subtle texture underfoot, where smooth leather edges meet soft, short hair for a layered, tactile feel.
