Handmade from cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges narrow rectangular strips into a tight grid of small blocks, alternating horizontal and vertical orientations for a linear, mosaic effect. The multi background is energized by bands of black, brown, gray, ivory and orange that form a lively yet structured pattern. Running your hand across the surface reveals the contrast between hair-on-hide panels with a low, velvety nap and smoother leather segments; visible stitching defines each piece and creates a subtle tactile ridge.
