The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
A hand-made cowhide and leather rug arranged in a patchwork grid, this piece pairs small square panels set on the bias for a dynamic geometric layout. The surface alternates soft hair-on-hide patches in ivory, beige, tan and light brown with deeper brown and black shots, while bright yellow highlights and metallic gold accents add reflective contrast across the field. The tactile variation is clear to the touch: the natural hair provides a plush, slightly textured nap while the leather seams offer a firmer structure and subtle sheen where panels meet.

It works well with warm woods and brass or gold accents for a modern-glam feel, complements mid-century pieces for an updated classic look, and balances eclectic interiors when paired with natural textiles and artisanal accessories.
