The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Handmade from cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges dozens of small square panels into a graphic checkerboard that balances pattern and natural variation. The surface is hair-on-hide, offering a soft, tactile feel with subtle nap and visible hair direction across panels; individual squares display a mix of beige, cream, ivory, brown and black tones with silver-toned highlights that catch light and add depth. The overall colorway reads multi, with warm beiges and browns grounding the palette while black and silver accents create contrast and visual movement.
