The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
A dynamic grid of stitched leather and hair-on-hide strips defines this piece from the Cowhide - Patchwork Collection. Handmade in India from cowhide and leather, the rug displays a mosaic of small rectangular blocks with a rich, tactile medium pile. The geometric design is built on a deep black field punctuated by warm amber, golden yellow, ochre, ivory, and spotted natural hide accents, with subtle touches of muted green, slate, and vibrant red.
