The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Hand made of cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug is composed of narrow rectangular strips set in horizontal bands. The multi background supports a lively range of tones — black, blue, brown, gold, gray, green, purple, red, silver and ivory — with natural speckling and tonal shifts from the hides adding visual depth. Running your hand across the surface reveals the short, velvety hair-on-hide texture and the subtle ridges where panels are stitched together, giving the piece a low-profile, tactile character.

The linear, colorful layout works well in contemporary, eclectic, or transitional interiors. Use it to anchor a living room seating group, layer it in an entryway for an immediate design statement, or place it in a home office to introduce color and texture against wood or concrete floors. It pairs confidently with leather sofas, mixed-metal accents, and warm wood furnishings, and provides a lively counterpoint in otherwise neutral schemes.
