The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Handmade from cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug is composed of small rectangular pieces arranged in a tight, geometric grid. The surface presents a low-pile, velvety finish with subtle stitch lines where each patch is joined, giving a tactile, crafted feel underfoot. A multi-hued background of warm browns and beige is enlivened by bands of black and navy, with lively accents in orange, pink, yellow, red and ivory that punctuate the composition and create steady visual rhythm.
