The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Handmade from cowhide and leather, this rug arranges small hexagonal patches into a tightly packed honeycomb patchwork. The multi-tonal field blends black, brown, tan, beige, ivory and light brown in natural hair-on-hide sections, so each hexagon carries subtle variations in tone and markings. Running your hand across the surface reveals a soft, tactile nap and a low, natural sheen; stitched seams between patches add a gentle contour that enhances the geometric pattern without overpowering it.

The earthy palette and graphic hex motif suit a range of interiors. Place it beneath a coffee table to anchor a warm living room with leather seating and wood floors, layer it in a minimalist space to introduce texture and organic pattern, or use it to add depth to a modern farmhouse or industrial study. It also works well under a rectangular dining table or as a focal piece in an entryway when paired with neutral furnishings and natural materials.
