The piece
Cowhide - Patchwork
Handmade from cowhide and leather, this patchwork rug arranges hundreds of small rectangular pieces into a tight, basket-weave pattern that balances geometry with natural variation. The multi background blends beige, cream, light brown, brown and black tones; individual hides bring subtle speckles, streaks and tonal shifts that break up the grid and add visual depth without overpowering a room.

The surface has a short hair-on-hide nap with the faint ridges of stitched seams underhand—soft to the touch yet structured from the leather backing. Its warm neutral palette and tactile quality pair well with rustic or modern farmhouse schemes, industrial lofts with metal and reclaimed wood, or contemporary interiors that need organic texture. Use it to anchor a seating area beneath a coffee table, layer it over hardwood floors for added dimension, or place it at the foot of a bed to introduce pattern and warmth while complementing leather sofas and mixed-material furniture.
